Thanks Jackdaw - and I've just found another.

Best to wait and see if such an appointment is made before commenting.

I can tell you are enthusiastic about the idea, naomi.
Spitting Image, where are you!

Let's have a minister for not calling an election too :-)
And a minister for "What if the DUP walk away"

Seems a reasonable idea ,covering all bases.
Gromit, // I can tell you are enthusiastic about the idea, naomi. //

To be perfectly honest, Gromit, I don't care if she appoints someone to the role or not. She'll do as she thinks necessary.
We could have a 'Minister for Not Winning the Next Election' too. You couldn't make this farce up, honestly.
I tend to agree, it is unnecessary. We already have a Brexit minister and it is his job to secure Deal or No Deal. Unless she's think of giving the job to Noel Edmonds!
Why is it a farce to have someone preparing for the chance that there may not be a deal forthcoming. Better to be prepared than have to start planning after the event.
Perhaps the job will go to Boris, now that would make some sense at least.. lol
kvalidir, that’s a daft analogy. Firstly we don’t know if such an appointment is to be made, and secondly, if it is, we don’t know what that minister’s duties and responsibilities will involve. As I said, best to wait and see.
Good to cover all eventualities. Maybe she's realised the only deal the EU settles for is, "Do what we demand".
Maybe ms. May knows more than we do .!! ? Be prepared .
What is wrong with a minister for no Brexit?

I imagine, as the title suggests they will be tasked with getting the UK ready for a no deal. Better that than head in the sand and the rubbish about a really really really rubbish deal is better than no deal.

It is of course fodder for Remainers and Labourites and lefties who whenever they see Brexit mentioned think the government can do no right even when it patently is.

What's wrong with it is that it has a remit directly overlapping with an existing ministry and its very existence would imply that the existing Brexit administration (which is already consuming all this government's energy) is not up to the job.

Pathetic and beneath contempt. May and her government are useless. Utterly, utterly, useless.
//Tipped for the new ministerial role is Steve Baker, an uncompromising Eurosceptic MP and leading figure in the Leave campaign in the EU referendum, who is already a junior minister in Mr Davis’s department.
Although the holder of the new post would not be a full member of the Cabinet, he or she would attend Cabinet, in a move which Mr Davis’s allies are likely to see as a move to undermine him.
The new ministerial appointment is said to be aimed at showing other European leaders and Tory Brexiteers that the UK is serious about leaving the EU without a deal if talks fail.//

All the Cabinet Ministers should be "Ministers for No Brexit Deal" by default anyway.

the conservatives (and other parties) were really slammed for having no plans at all in place for the possibility the country voted to leave.
//Eurosceptics believe that appointing a “no deal minister” would help to win the UK a better Brexit deal, as it would show the EU that Mrs May is serious about walking away.
But it is likely to infuriate the Chancellor, Philip Hammond, and other leading pro-Remain MPs//

Haha. Liking that. :))
