This may look all fine and dandy....Boris rides to the rescue of our NHS !

But isn't this all about Boris and his craving for attention and his desire to be the next Leader or the Tory Party, and/or the next PM ?

Where was Boris, when patients were being treated in corridors, and in the back of ambulances in the Hospital car parks ? Or when 50,000 operations were being cancelled ?

This is all b

BoJo as always, is only interested in promoting his own image. His aim is getting the leadership of the party, everything he does is towards that aim.

The winter flu virus that happens every winter and is worse this year.

The same winter flu virus that was widely predicted, but still 50,000 operations had to be cancelled.
all the departments want more money, it's whether it can be done, the NHS is a bottomless pit, no amount of money will fix it. The influx of many young and elderly has put a massive strain on our hospitals, perhaps that will ease off once the winter starts to ease.
Mikey, of course non-urgent procedures are cancelled if urgent commitments arise. That's common sense.
so they had to cancel operations, its bad for those expecting them, but how many were urgent, surely those that aren't should be rearranged. Treating the youngsters and the elderly is a priority in many hospitals.
What about THE BUS!!!
Mikey should look to the NHS in Wales(Labour controlled)Far worse than NHS England
danny, I was just about to say that.

I`d have to disagree with giving the NHS more money until the y tidy up their act.
Stop overpaying underperforming executives, cut down on agency staff by employing more people. Stop overpaying drugs and supply companies for their equipment. Stop treatment for those who make themselves ill and stop treating foreign visitors who come without adequate travel insurance. All these steps would save many many millions.

Well said Eddie !
Mikey, I see you are dodging a reply to post at 09.43.
crapatcryptic
is right on all levels, stop treating health tourists for a start, then turn their guns on the top echelon of management, and get the nurses back to doing nursing not doctors roles. as that point was reiterated time and time again, that nurses are now pseudo doctors, not right at all. My niece is a nurse and she finally called time on the low pay, long unsociable hours, and became a phlebotomy nurse. They lost one very good nurse when she started this role.
Eddie at 09:48 and Mikey’s subsequent ‘Well said Eddie!’. Haha! And Mr Corbyn and his cronies are inspired by genuine, heartfelt altruism. Right! :o)
If Labour were to get a convincing win and a large majority in the next election. ( I said IF, hypothetical question)
I would not be in the least surprised to see BoJo suddenly announce that he had realised that he was really a Labour supporter and change sides. Such is the nature of the man.
Boris is a Tory through and through, i don't think he would ever change sides,
naomi , I just said BoJo's was only interest is self promotion.
How does that justify your comments at 09.59?
I don't understand why we know what Boris will be saying in cabinet, before the meeting.

Politicians playing games again.
Who is running this Conservative Party of Muppets , May or Johnson?
Mrs May is running the government, who else, Boris is still Foreign Secretary.
