This may look all fine and dandy....Boris rides to the rescue of our NHS !
But isn't this all about Boris and his craving for attention and his desire to be the next Leader or the Tory Party, and/or the next PM ?
Where was Boris, when patients were being treated in corridors, and in the back of ambulances in the Hospital car parks ? Or when 50,000 operations were being cancelled ?
Naomi.....if Boris really is concerned about the parlous state of the NHS this Winter, and why wouldn't he be, why has he not brought his concerns up before ?
Thought Jeremy Hunt was health secretary, ? Boris can't help it can he. got to be in the headlines . WAP. Send him to Syria doing his job as Foreign Secretary , and leave him there
Doesn't matter who has which job; anyone can call for something.
May well be connected with an eye on future career prospects but does that make the suggestion a bad one ? Anyway, the Tories may not be in a position to make the decisions after Brexit.
Mikey, I'm pretty sure Boris has spoken about the NHS before, but that said, the 'parlous state of the NHS this winter' only made headlines last week. I thought you'd be pleased to hear him - or anyone - calling for more money for the NHS? You like it when Jeremy says it.
so you still have it in for this man, if he does nothing he's a wuss, if he suggests something like this, and why not, even though he is foreign secretary, you come down on him like he has created the problem in the first place
can't do wrong for doing right it would seem to me
"parlous state of the NHS this winter' only made headlines last week"
Really ?
You need to get out more Naomi. Everything that is happening withe NHS this Winter was predicted months ago by medical Teams, and the subject has rarely been out of the headlines for weeks.
but the real crux has only come with this winter flu virus that is catching out A&E departments.
Boris is not in a position to do much about that now is he.
What did labour do to help the NHS?
Nothing - took money from the nurses and spent it elsewhere!
At least Boris is trying to do something - Corbyn just mouths off and then sits on his harris!
i have to admit i did wonder to myself what the foreign secretary was doing calling for more cash for the NHS - why isnt the health secretary doing it?
I get that anyone is bohoven to point out errors in funding if they see them, but it would be slightly odd and jarring if (for example)the health secretary called for more investment in the armed services wouldn't it?
