For gawds sake AOG, give it a rest. You’re trying to fan the ashes of a burnt out thread which you clearly made a mistake in posting. It’s one woman’s opinion that 40% of black women are doing this to make themselves MORE attractive. It says all that in the first few lines. Hardly a solid base on which to post any question, let alone your fantasy one.
Steg I hated my freckles so much I tried to bleach them away! And as for my red hair that has been every colour under the sun!!
Islay, I loved my freckles that’s why I would paint them, don’t know why I painted my feet tho, think I just liked doing it
lmao kinky
You women have a lot of time on your hands ;-) x
When I lived in Zambia I was astounded by the number of advertising for skin lightening cream, they were on every street, so they must be popular. Now Nivea has introduced a 'skin lightening cream' and attracted a storm of indignation. (which of course is just serving as a huge source of free publicity)

If one of the world's largest cosmetics manufacturers thinks it is a viable product then I assume they know the market.
Eddie perhaps that is because for generations black women have been told that they are unattractive but white is attractive?

This thread on a controversial topic has had some good answers. I'm closing it here as I think all opinions have been clearly expressed and to leave it open would probably result in a worse thread.
