Munroe Bergdorf, former "modern face of diversity" at L'Oréal, appointed to be an adviser to shadow equalities secretary Dawn Butler.

given the reasons for L'Oréal terminating their arrangement with ms Bergdorf, it seemed to me she was an odd choice to be championing equality. now today, more of her, um, right on views on the subject of (in)equality have come to light:-

one cannot help but wonder what the labour party were thinking. or maybe there's something fundamental i'm not seeing?

Saw this a few days ago ... lolled, shook my head and moved on to the next story.

I'm looking forward to the case for the defence of the appointment though.
Bizarre choice to say the least.
Oh, for goodness sake...

There are thousands of 'regular' people who could have filled this position with far less baggage and surrounded by much less controversy.

Another misfire from the Labour party.
Why the hell is Dawn Butler employing an out and out racist?

Why is this creature's racism considered acceptable, whereas if somebody else had said what is said but changed the colour reference, they'd have been arrested?

Shocking decision.

You couldn't make it up.

It reminds me of the Tories appointing Toby Young as University Tsar or whatever it was, and he lasted about 5 minutes as well after his history of obnoxious Tweets came out. You have to wonder if either of them do any kind of checks into the people they appoint.
