It’s a horrible situation and I have friends in sa and can confirm attacks do happen.
Unfortunately because of history where the blacks had everything taken from them and given to the whites, Some of the blacks think it’s fair to attack the whites and take back what was “theirs” which I understand but is not logical or fair as we should acknowledge the past but cannot make someone innocent pay for the crimes of their criminal ancestors.

I wish I knew the answer on how to please everyone in sa and have them living side by side in perfect harmony.

If you distribute land to many thousands of settlers, they will first grow crops to feed themselves. Only after their families are well fed and some small surplus is earned will they turn to possible exports. However, small farms do not earn the country much foreign currency to pay for imports or for improvements in infrastructure such as schools, etc. If big corporations ( never mind what colour their managers) employ the locals at decent wages, and produce commercial crops, they will certainly earn more foreign currency and do the country more good than individual settled families can possibly do. Can South Africa strike a balance ? As far as I can see, they are far from doing so.

It does seem to be an intractable situation out in South Africa.

I suppose you can't expect the resentment caused by generations of indigenous black South Africans having been so badly treated to dissipate within a single one.....

It is difficult to argue the wrongs of violence on a majority race who have historically had their homes and lands stripped away from them.

It does not make it right but human nature is a powerful force.

Most of the Countries which have been ruled over by white-incomers (of any European persuasion) have seen their countries assets and bounties stripped away and the indigenous populations subjugated.

Given that, once the power shifts to the majority, it's hardly surprising that they are not as 'fit' to oversee the ruling of their country.

SA is going the same way as Zimbabwe. Farms and vineyards being taken over by people who have no idea what to do with them once they take control. And then they worry why the place is going to the dogs.
