By far the biggest cost to the guy is the public’s loss of approbation and the humiliation of an open acknowledgment of stupidity, and an apology on national television. He’s taken it on the chin,now give the guy a chance. Let him move on.
He's a rich man, so the sentence has to hurt, and reflect the seriousness of the incident. This may help him to fight his devils. Seems reasonable - except that a 2 year ban might have had more impact.
