Sounds like a betrayal of the public to me. The FA may own the stadium, but it's the national stadium, and the FA should take it's responsibility as caretaker seriously. Sounds to me that it was a prime candidate for public ownership.

I hate football, but Wembley is an icon. I don't actually, on reflection, feel much either way. As a Rugby League fan it would please me that our finalist teams don't have to trail all the way down to London for their match. Much more suitable if they play it in the North. Bit of a pang for tradition, but OK by me. As I say, I'm not a football fan, sogive my answer the weight you think it deserves.

Might not be a bad thing. Perhaps we can go back to cup semi finals and league play off games being played somewhere more convenient for the supporters.

Why should both sets of supporters have to travel to London if they are both northern teams?

My knee-jerk reaction was NO-Way!!! After listening to 'Talksport' a fella in the know for a few days before the proposal was let known, as actually convinced me that the deal is a good one, and although I've not being to it, the new Wembley isn't the super-duper stadia the FA were forced to pay for... with much better stadia around the country. I couldn't give a toss about NFL or Rugby... cheerleaders might be worth a look.
