Surely the Royals should have realised Meghan’s family - certainly her father - needed protecting, even coaching in how to cope and conduct themselves. For example, What the heck is the sister of the Royal bride doing appearing on ITV Good Morning Britain today? Thing is they’re just ordinary folk catapulted into an extraordinary situation, and their first thing ughts are publicity and profit. The Royals could easily afford to pay them to keep quiet. What a terrible mess they’re in now. For me it all comes down to whether Harry is marrying the right sort, if not the right person, and my answer is definitely not. I give it two yeas max. And when it inevitably fails, boy will she make them pay! But, in not protecting and guiding Meghan’s family from the off (the engagement at least) the Royals only have themselves to blame

Even with modern tech, it would have been extremely difficult for the RF to have provided protection for a family who live in the U.S. They could have provided some level of training, but if you have a family who have a lot to gain financially, then the temptation will always be there to jump for the dollar.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that this marriage will last a lifetime and that they grow closer with every passing year. I hope that they are blessed with healthy and happy children and that all the issues that seem so big now, diminish with time.

6th in line to the throne.

Some Kings / Queens in the past have been further down the list and still become King or Queen.

I seem to remember Henry Tudor (who became Henry 7th) had little claim to the throne until he killed Richard 3rd at Bosworth

Also if we are talking about the morals of the Royals have a look at how many illegitimate children some of them had.

Charles the 2nd has about 17 illegitimate children, George the 4th had 2 illegitimate children and so on.

Even Charles was having an affair while married to Diana.

Hardly a moral example to us all!

when jno jnr married, it never occurred to me that I was under some duty to ensure the moral education and physical welfare of his bride's family. I don't think those are duties of the royal family either.

An alternative theory is that Mr Markle thought that by co-operating with a photographer on one occasion, he would satisfy the demand for pictures and ensure that he would subsequently be left alone.

It’s clear that he had already communicated to the palace his concerns about press harassment and he would not be the first person to think he could give snappers an inch and not have them take a mile.

Perhaps his motivation wasn’t money at all. We know that he’s been papped left right an centre over the past couple of months, so maybe this was him trying to stop the attention?

He might be guilty of being naive, and nothing else.

I don't feel sorry for Markle at all, he didn't have to fake paparrazi photos, what the hell was he thinking?? I agree with others when they say if Harry was nearer to the throne, he wouldn't have been able to marry her. However he IS a senior Royal and he's not thick, he's a well spoken, kind man who did extremely well in the army. I wish him and Meghan luck, but again like others, I don't think it will last, sadly.

I don't think there was anything bad about them; I think he was just brassed off with the papa following him everywhere and taking pictures of everything he did. How would you like it? I certainly wouldn't.
