She shares an explicit image of a fellow officer sent to her(unsolicited). Surely if you are sent an image like that then the sender should be responsible too?

I particularly like the line : "Goole Magistrates' Court heard she had been told in a ten-minute conversation by her boss that she should not 'blow it out of proportion' "

I don't think that it is as much about whether an order was given or not.Her subsequent showing of the photograph would be classed as conduct unbecoming for a police officer.
If anyone is sacked, it should be the man who sent it.
I think sending such a photo is "unbecoming for a police officer".
I agree Clover. After all he started all this!
No mention of him , maybe he has already been dealt with.

Maybe or maybe not.
She sounds like a nightmare. Needs sacking.
As for the bloke, stupid thing to do but I don't think it's against the law. (is it?)
I think they need their heads banging together for such childish and inappropriate behaviour... as a Police officer she ought to have shown some integrity in the matter by deleting the image and taking advice from a senior officer.. the telling porkies is another matter and disciplinary procedure should deal with that...
She should be given a ticking off, as should the clown that sent it to her, but I don't think it's a sacking offence.
At a hearing yesterday. the panel concluded that showing the image of the penis of a male colleague was 'misconduct' and she was given a final written warning.
In relation to the hospital injury incident, the panel decided that there was conflicting evidence, and no further action was take.
