ah ok. what he tweeted was "When I was growing up my mum relied on tax credits. Tonight in opposing the Welfare Bill I voted for millions of people who do the same."

Tax credits were introduced in 2003. which means if he grew up in a family reliant on them, he'd now be no older than 15.

I’m sure this event deserves a bit of satirical treatment: they certainly overestimated its appeal.
But can you imagine ‘Conservatives Live’??
At least the Tories had the good sense not to risk a Tezzfest :-)

Are but a Tezzfest would be like an old school reunion.

Bay city rollers, madness (no pun intended), pink floyd, ABBA, The Osmands, Noddy Holder, Rod Stuart, the Police, Micheal Jackson and David Bowie (covers obviously) Catchy tunes we can all sway along to. That sort of thing.

No need for expensive current bands lol
