It is a proble thought TTT and will bust the NHS if nothing is done.

Much as I hate Government interference, as this affects everyone (as we have to pay for the treatments) then I think they need to start looking closely at some legislation, far more than marketing and promotion (but that is a start).

Not sure what though.

Not knocking it, I like deep fried doner as much as the next man! Looks like the Scottish delicacies are going to get a bit dearer!

Are the English government going to follow suit? Having said that, I believe that is down to parents, not the Government, to set a good example - young children tend to eat what is put down in front of them.

TTT, yes that's why they call them Glasgow Salad.
Chips are potatoes> Potatoes are veg> veg is Salad.

When my husband went into the services in the 60s, they were told they would not be treated for certain things as they were classed as 'a self-inflicted injury'. I think things like obesity should also be classed as such, unless it is definitely an addiction. I will probably get shot down in flames, but a friend of mine with type 2 diabetes, who used to be a nurse, has just had to go on to insulin injections instead of tablets. When we go out for a snack, it's her who will have the cream cake or meringue. I don't think she thinks amputation will ever happen to her. Makes me very cross.

Understand why you're cross hellywelly as I have a friend in the same position. Moved to injections as she can't control her sweet tooth despite all the warnings. Mind you I smoked for 40 years so can't preach.
