City hall have given the green light to a crowdfunded blimp depicting an angry Donald Trump throwing a temper tantrum in a nappy, meaning it will be flying over Parliament Square on the day of his visit.

Do you think this is a valid piece of satire or do you think this should have been disallowed so as not to annoy the President?

You were just reading criticisms in posts that just wasn't there :-)
Those on your list are loved by all on here
Think I know my problem here - I don’t feel strongly one way or another.
Not funny, bad manners, not the way to treat a guest in our country and reflects badly on us all.
SP, //Bizarre.

Almost certain I’ve seen seen extreme criticism of those on my list. //

Of course you've seen criticisms of those on your list - we've all seen them - but nothing like this. This is relentless - absolutely relentless - day in and day out - and for any reason - for any word he utters. Bizarre indeed!

I read the first page, that was enough, . . . . . Pathetic!
Maybe if he wasn't so prolific (relentless) on Twitter with his rude and naive tweets I'd have more respect for him.
One mistake I think some on here have made though, is to think that this won’t affect Trump.

The thing about Trump is that his entire Presidency has been predicated by his frequent Twitter spats with those who criticise him - even mildly.

Meryl Streep, Theresa May, LaVar Ball, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Whooping Goldberg, Macy’s, Mika Brzezinski.

It seems easy to rile Trump.

Part of that might be because of what Z-M has pointed out...the sheer volume of tweets issued forth from Trump.

He alone amongst world leaders spends an amazingly large amount of time tweeting. It invites responses - but as much as he’s criticised, he’s also relentlessly praised too.

Look at the almost daily posts from TTT who Trump won the election!

And if you go along to the Briebart website...
This is why I have a sneaking admiration for Farage despite his appalling views.
The man has a sense of humour and does not always take himself 100% seriously. I suspect he’d make a joke of it if was a parody of himself. I cannnot see Trump doing that.
Trump does it his way.... that's what he does.
You could say that about Hitler, Naomi. Doesn't make it right.

(Godwin's law invoked.....but it seemed appropriate)
Zacs, You could .... but I didn't. (Godwin's Law is nonsense).
naomi at 16:46 - I hope you are right. I'm ashamed that this is being done.
hereIam, me too. Utterly ashamed.
//Trump does it his way.... that's what he does.//

And the net result of that is that it galvanises responses, but very positive and very negative.

Out of interest, when Trump is criticised on AB, haven’t you noticed there’s an equal and opposite number of posters who support him?

Why should the constant criticisms be an issue if there are enough people to bat back with responses?
Every major world leader 'does it their way'. It's a meaningless platitude and doesn't excuse Trump's childish, boorish and rude behaviour.
Trump is often criticized for his "gigantic egotism". Well, isn't it gigantically egotistical of the planners of this ridiculous farce to think that the entire country agrees with their position?
^ It certainly is.
I don't think that most of us on here are rushing to kiss Donald Trump's feet or that we hero worship him. It's more a matter of being proud to be English , behaving with dignity and treating the President of USA with respect. Not too much to ask,is it ?
