♪♪ There MAY be trouble ahead..♪♪
I cannot understand why that terrible woman May is still P.M. She is in my opinion a traitor to democracy, and a liar to the people of the U.K.
Question Author
I think it is the beginning of the end for her now. Without Davis on board she is sunk.
Yes, I fear another election. What a mess.
ZM, I don't think a general election is on the cards.A leadership election is very possible.
Question Author
I agree with Danny. What is not beyond the bounds of possibility is that in such a scenario Davis might well stand and win!
In the event of opting for another general election, God forbid, they may want to hold another leadership election first. The country needs a clear and electable pro democracy/Brexit party to run against one of the anti democracy/Brexit parties that exist, so that there's genuine choice.
Good morning UK...you are in a bit of a pickle, what next indeed?
I thought it was all done and dusted last Friday at Chequers.

Leadership challenge I guess......but who?
Question Author
A good question, Sqad. Gove lacks charisma, as does Hammond. Boris has too much of it. Leadsom has been keeping a low profile of late. I wonder if she might rear her head above the parapet again. I don't know her views on Brexit though.
Either way it's not going to end well.
Who, Javid?
What about Jacob Rees Mogg?

From what I read, he's popular amongst the leavers?
As long as it is someone who has the guts to stand up to the EU and deliver a Brexit in line with what the public voted for.
Not sure it's that much of a pickle, just normal politics ain't it ?

In this case a weak leader picks the EU friendly option over the UK interest one, forces her underlings to officially agree for the sake of party unity and joint responsibility. Some do so willingly, IMO for the sake of their career most probably, others do so under protest. And now one's had enough. Althought it'd have been better had those against the decision refused to conform and waited until they were sacked.

Maybe Boris Johnson or Jacob Rees Mogg could opt to give it a try.
No loss, I never thought he was up to the job.
Question Author
Rees-Mogg's catholicism could be a stumbling block as long as the C of E remains the established church.
Jack, Anthony Eden was a Roman Catholic
Question Author
Well I didn't know that.
Time for , General Election, Leadership Election, Second Referendum.
Cons out, May out,Brexit out, all in one go.
