This from August 2001, double standards it would seem.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2010/aug/20/english-defence-league-ban

/// The home secretary, Theresa May, today authorised a ban on a planned march by far-right group the English Defence League (EDL), due to take place in Bradford later this month. ///

/// The blanket ban prevents any marches in the city over the August bank holiday weekend, when the EDL had said it was planning to stage a demonstration members described as "the big one". ///
Comments on a breitbart site enlightening?
Depends how much in need of light you are if the examples quoted are anything to go by.
Is Trump still going to get to see his ‘friend’ Boris?

AOG. There is a big difference. The EDL were going to demonstrate in a city with a large Asian community. It is also likely that the Home Office
received intelligence that violence was expected.

/// Islamophobic marches are different to those against the US president, togo. ///

And I wonder why that is? We have experienced much fear from Islam than we have from Trump, but then Trump also has a disliking for Islam.

Wow I think that I have hit the nail on the head, these are not Trump haters per-se, they are Islamic supporters.
I am sure there will be plenty of Americans amongst the protesters

// No American, Trump supporter or otherwise, has any reason to fear the protesters. //

nope sorry - there are whole cities where people - right people or white people - cant go - Mr Trump pointed out Birmingham as such a place - and if he said it ...... it must be true !
For clarity, is it the Trump haters or Islamic supporters calling themselves Percy?

Is it like a Spartacus thing?

/// I feel no fear from Islam, except for their rebellion from the suppression i see them go through every day. ///

Easy to say when you are not travelling on the Bus, Tube, walking over London's bridges or attending any concerts.

And you don't think that any is expected over Trump's visit?
AOG: "...these are not Trump haters per-se, they are Islamic supporters." I'm sure that will be the reason why quite a lot will be protesting.
AOG, it doesn't matter what I (or you for that matter) think. It is what the Home Secretary thinks that counts.
// and you can't blame their retaliation on their own religion, it's us poking them with a stick.//

nothing to do with us poking anything with a stick I am afraid:
the sunnis and shia have been at each others throats for centuries without any help from us

[ ever since technically - the Prophets ( pbuh) said on his deaf bed, his successor should be the man nearest to him
and one said - me me me - I married his darter!
and another said me me me I cradled his head as he died!
which was oo around 652 AD ]

/// You have to think about how suppressed this religion feels in modern times, and you can't blame their retaliation on their own religion, it's us poking them with a stick. ///

Oh, I feel very sorry for them (Don't)

You are quite happy to witness them beheading non Muslims, or throwing Homosexuals off tall buildings and committing horrific acts of terrorism are you?
Just to correct Spath…..I never mentioned or referenced to anti Islamic, or as you called them, Islamophobic marches. So in future please do not ascribe your own fanciful notions to me.
The difference is obvious between the two protesting groups is as plain as the nose on my face.
