I am a little confused here.............a person born a man, feels like a woman and wants to be treated as a woman and has hormones and reassignment would be miffed if he/she was sent to a male prison.
So following re-assignment she/he should be sent to a female prison surely?
But before reassignment the born male should never be sent to a female prison as the consequences are inevitable.

Being "miffed" isn't the point if you are sent to prison though. It needs to be accurate still. I imagine these ladies are fairly miffed.

Whilst the term 'transgender' is a relatively new word the condition is not a new 'thing' just before people suffered as there was no alternative.

No - before transgendered persons ‘became noted’, they were dealt with by the wider society in an entirely different manner.
