Appalling.......we have had had numerous threads over the years involving the "good old days" and are we better off, happier, less violent now than then? The phrase tinted "coloured spectacles" and other remarks are made by the modern adults compared to the old "dinosaurs" that still roam AB.
I can never remember episodes such as this.

andy, there will be some reason, even if it's just "for kicks". The fact that three people have been held probably rules out any "rogue dope fiend" theory if it was a group endeavour. But we'll just have to wait and see.

My guess is that it was a revenge/bullying act. They got them so quickly, did the mother identify them?

In one report it said the mother was the intended target, but she moved. The father thought to be an asylum seeker, thought his wife had become too westernised.

I don't have a link though.
