I think the point AOG is making (and I’m sure he’ll correct me if I’m wrong) is that here we have reports (albeit in the Daily Mail which, in some minds, automatically makes the report either wholly false or wildly exaggerated) of a Spanish politician suggesting that the invasion of his country by unarmed individuals arriving in rubber boats is “unstoppable”.
As any history book will attest, successfully invading a foreign land, especially by sea, is notoriously tricky, even for highly organised and trained armed forces. To suggest it is impossible to prevent unarmed individuals arriving a few at a time in rubber boats is plainly and simply ridiculous. Yes, a few may get through here and there and they should not be too difficult to detect and deport after their arrival has been discovered. But the vast majority of these invaders are being helped ashore by being picked up by vessels from the very nations they are invading and taken there safely. To suggest it is impossible to stop this is the politics of the madhouse. A very large proportion of it could be stopped immediately if the authorities in the European Mediterranean nations concerned stopped rescuing those who have put to sea just a few miles off the North African coast. Any that are plucked out under the (somewhat inappropriate for these circumstances) “rules of the sea” should be promptly returned whence they came.
Invasions are more difficult to prevent when the invaded nation is facilitating the invaders by helping them ashore. The first duty of government is the protection and security of its citizens and a prime driver towards this is maintaining the integrity of the country’s borders. Spain is assisting this invasion. Until (a) it is recognised not as a “humanitarian crisis” but as an invasion by people “seeking a better life” (b) it is treated as such and (c) the invaders are repelled instead of being accommodated, the Spanish people (and indeed those in the rest of Europe) may be able to sleep a little easier.
Europe has brought about this situation by adherence to ridiculous and hugely over-imposed “Human Rights” legislation. It prevents invaders such as these being returned whence they came. Well they’ve made their beds but unfortunately other people have to lie in them and suffer the consequences of this monstrous folly.

YMB, //Yes, Naomi but as we know the EU are unelected so it is down to the leaders of countries.
Some have stood up and said enough is enough. Has Treason? //
As far as I'm aware she hasn't.... but this is a European problem insofar as it is affecting, detrimentally, the whole of the continent of Europe - and unless the brakes are applied, like anything careering out of control, it will be unstoppable. I really don't know where the powers that be think this is going to end. I don't think they're thinking at all.

He did not say Africa is unstoppable, he said the migrant problem was unstoppable.
// Today Mr Landaluce, a right-wing MP who also represents Cadiz province in the Spanish parliament, described the migrant influx as a 'traumatic' but added that the migrant problem was 'unstoppable'.
'But the situation over the past month has been dramatic and traumatic because we've seen people who are not being assisted as one would like and the number of people arriving has been worrying.' //
The Mayor seems to be sympathetic if anything, worring that people are not getting the help they need.
Do you really agree with him AOG, or did you just misunderstand his comments (assuming you read past the headline).

Yes, I do agree about Europe as a whole.
BUT, for many of these the destination is soft touch Britain, a land of a free home, car and free money for life as they see it. If Treason had a spine this would be stopped, illegals removed and so a very strong reason for many would be removed.
It's often the little things that can make the difference, whilst the UK can do very little about the boats (apart from stopping any free taxi service we are providing) we can do other things and more importantly be seen to be actively doing it.
Unfortunately JC's Nasty Party seem to be ignoring their core voters in their rush to gain the immigrant vote and in doing so smear anything seen not to be PC. It needs someone with a spine like Donald to tell them to eff off
