/// AOG - you appear to be saying that accusations of racism are acceptable if the crime rate reduces. ///
You are twisting my words, what I am saying is why minimise necessary action, for the fear of being labelled racist.
If the problem is caused by black youths stabbing black youths, then it would be a waste of police resources to stop and search old white ladies etc. just to prove it is not just black youths that are being picked on.

I am not 'twisting' anything - your comment emphasises that my interpretation was correct - you do feel that accusations of racism are an acceptable price to pay for your rather nebulous term - necessary action' which can in itself mean a multitude of things.

Do you think the police do stop and search old ladies, or indeed old men, of any ethnicity? I somehow doubt it! The police are not in the business of balancing public opinion by wasting their resources searching people who are clearly not causing any social unrest.

That can only mean one thing, you agree to the stopping and searching of black youths then?
Because it is certain that it is them who are causing vast social unrest, in this case.

It does mean only one thing - that the police are not in the business of balancing public opinion by wasting their resources searching people who are clearly not causing any social unrest.
It has nothing to do with searching black youths - you can tell because the words 'black' and 'youths' are not in the sentence.
I am sure you would love me to agree with you AOG, but leaping to conclusions and assuming that I agree with you, when I have nothing remotely similar to what you said, is not really going to make that happen.
