Why is he here in the first place?

TTT - This gentleman is being deported because he is a criminal, not because he is foreign, or indeed black.

Of course, it's human nature to try anything and everything to hang on to something you are going to lose - but that does not make his statement accurate.
///Why is he here in the first place? ///

As he was 12 when he came to this country, I imagine he accompanied his parents. And before you ask, I have no idea why *they* were here....

After having had a seemingly privileged upbringing he decided to throw it all away by indulging in criminality.

He really ought to have thought about the consequences of his actions when there was still time to change his mind...

yes AH, my thoughts exactly.
Deporting foreign criminals should be the norm
Question Author
yes steg, sadly though it seems they are only considered for deportation if their sentence is over 4 years.
It is not racism. Foreign criminals are just that and should be deported. The length of their sentence should not come into it and deportation should be the norm as soon as the person is released from custody no matter what the length of their detention.
no
If a guest in my home abuses my hospitality they get told to go, with or without a bit of 'help'. The same should apply to those who abuse us, whatever their hue.
No it's not racism, however I'd be more interested in deporting any violent criminal in preference to fraudsters and thieves, or ideally all of them. I don't think if you have committed a violent crime the length of sentence ought to matter, you're violent so you can clear off.
"This gentleman is being deported because he is a criminal, not because he is foreign"

Enlighten me. If he was not foreign how cold he be deported?
