I think however it should also be a given that once an appropriate offer is made if it is turned down she should no longer be the council' s problem and should either pay market rent where she is or make her own new arrangements. It could well be the area around the tower is still effectively toxic.
Btw for years I lived in the next street to where a classmate burned to death and had to walk past the house every day on my way to junior school.I could still hear the screams when too afraid to jump she ran back into the fire. I know it's a lesser scale but no one who lived through it was offered any extra help.

AnTheOldGit. (No complaints, please, you chose it!)
Having a handle like yours and then threatening those (like me) who play games with it, is a bit like people who live in glasshouses giving out catapults and stones to all visitors, and then sending them a bill for the glass.
Why not change it as it seems to bother you?

I think 'playing' with user names helps to derail threads, and is disrespectful to the AB'er concerned, whomever they are.
I have made a serious fuss (about the only time I do!) when my name is reduced in order to deliberately upset me, so I think we should end that angle of the discussion, which goes no-where except towards oblivion - and return to the thread.

Andy Hughes:
Ok, I’ll stop, although not because of the force of your argument, which I still think spurious, but because getting banned would be a nuisance.
Parting point: if I renamed myself Fatoldidiot, could I REALLY complain if people ‘played’ with my name? And if I DID complain, would I get the special treatment apparently afforded to antheold?
Bill Bain or Brig or Bainbrig or anything else you like...
