I love dogs, big dogs especially and have been lucky enough to have lived with two great lads. But I am aware that, for many reasons, dogs attack and can inflict some serious damage or, sometimes, kill people.

The injuries that this dog attack has incurred sound awful. I would still have another dog but they can be a small danger to humans, children and other animals.

Seems strange injuries and stranger too that they haven’t destroyed the dog. I hope nothing perverse was going on.
Oh, Wolf......how awful. That poor chap.
I agree, Rockrose. Very odd circumstances.
Mmmm those dogs are not normally vicious

I didn't think of that RR. I think that they will want to talk to the guy before they decide what to do with the dog.

The groin is dog teeth height so it might have been startled and just nipped the guy.

Ouch

Depends on how tall the dog is, Wolf.
Generally 17-20 inches and old English bulldog are normally very soft in temperament
The man must have been sitting down at the time, unless the dog jumped up at him.

if it had been the spawn of the devil (Jack Russells) then I wouldn't have been surprised at this outcome.

The guy is in a coma so he must have lost quite a lot of blood.
Yes you bleed profusely when you lose those items

RR - I hope that you don't know this from experience!!
I would love to crack a joke but it would be frowned upon in a serious thread

I can think of a few things that I would normally post if this had been in CB. But I am trying to be good.
Did the dog eat the bits?
I know this is not funny and the man is seriously poorly but it does seem to be very peculiar circumstances.

A Jack Russell might nip your heels but nothing higher.
JR can jump very high considering their size
This is why I prefer cats..
hmm...bit his bits off through clothes ? very odd... methinks there was some weird behaviour going on and doggy reacted ? if you get my drift....
deviancy?
