By giving everyone these 'free gifts' they are just wasting money. Most people are able to afford all this stuff - there should be another way of helping the minority who can not afford these essential items.

Boys' use of razors and shaving foam doesn't really compare with girls' needs for sanitary products. If a boy goes out not having shaved it's nothing compared to the mortification of a girl bleeding through her pants and trousers because her makeshift tissue based pad isn't adequate.

Basic stuff should be available. If you have to go and pick them up only people that really need them will do so.

Our family planning clinic used to supply sanitary wear but you'd have to walk into town. Not many people would do that unless they were completely skint.
