Revolting creature. Instead of seizing his passport, it should be handed to him so he can leave the UK and preach his filth somewhere else. I fear we've not heard the last of this. And yes, the £2 million will come from the taxpayer.
With all those restrictions and conditions imposed they might as well keep in prison and throw away the key. £2 mill a year on his security. Round the clock supervision etc. That money would be better spent by MI5 on surveillance on returning jihadis. Enough have slipped under the radar already
The £2million figure is plucked from the air and is meaningless. It is the job of the security Services to monitor convicted terrorists, which obviously has some cost.
If we don’t want to pay for our Security Services, then we should disband it and spend the money on the NHS instead.
Dont be ridiculous Gromit.

£2m seems a fairly conservative figure to me, and no it's not plucked out the air they do it for many people so they know the time/effort.

What should happen is he either stays in jail or is thrown out the country so he can go live with in a country he likes rather than hates.
hop they have checked his asset's
The current issue of Private Eye has helpfully pointed out that the estimated cost to taxpayer per year for providing security for convicted hate preacher Anjem Choudary after his release from prison is £2m, - and that coincidentally it is also the estimated cost to the taxpayer for providing security for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank for the single weekend of their wedding.
Poor Anjem. Served his time, well some of it, so maybe he could be de radicalised and become a constructive member of society.
Nice job, nice friends, maybe even enter politics?
from the taxpayer presumably, he is one sorry bstard, and i wish he would depart to a country that would keep him in check, as i fear he will start up again with the hate filled rhetoric.
Personally I don't begrudge my contribution towards the cost of stopping this man from spreading his messages of hate.

Strangulation of his influence is the most effective way to silence him - and the media should start by simply ignoring him.
It is his messages that don't appear in the media do the most harm A man who chooses his words carefully and where he spews them.
AH
they won't do that, ignore him, he is a hot potato to these hacks.

Sadly, you are right.

There are a number of individuals who are far too fond of the sound of their own voices, and prone to spout mindless spiteful garbage to anyone who will listen.

Sadly, the amount that ignoring them would benefit society as a whole, is directly inversely proportional to the amount of column inches the inspire, because of the perverse interest in their idiocy.
