Most companies aims is to reduce packaging though and even though cardboard is environmentally friendly to a certain extent, 0 packaging is best.

good idea but if you buy cases of beer you will still have the outer plastic sleeve pack or whatever it's called, they could make them out of cardboard to i guess.

If as they say they are easily enough to pull apart, I can't see that they will keep together when transporting them.

You have to twist the can to release it so transportation should not be a problem.I am sure that they have done plenty of tests before putting it on the market.

It can only be a good thing if those plastic rings are vanishing, I am sick of seeing them littered everywhere and they are a danger to wildlife. I applaud this.

While I can appreciate the need to start somewhere, the plastic straw vs the oceans is a bit of a red herring.

Along the lines of our cities banning a few old diesel cars while the developing world burn as much dirty coal as is humanly possible.

It did indeed, now all we have to do is use paper straws and stop the third world recycling our plastic waste by throwing it into the sea and spending the cash they've earned on Raybans and fags.
