I very much hope that the USA has had time to reinforce its borders because shooting people as a deterrent (whilst effective) is horrible to think of. The invaders will send in the women and children first.

The US army is the very least of their worries when it comes to harm being done and martyrdom will be dished up by locals if requested.

The humanitarian aspect apart; one of the advantages of doling out foreign aid is that the threat of its removal, can be used as powerful leverage.

I am not normally into conspiracy theories but this makes me wonder who, if anyone, is orchestrating this or is it just a bandwagon effect. Why now, who has got anything to gain with the mid-term elections due soon? I am not a Trump fan btw
