I know I was wearing black, but with very dark hair hanging from a centre parting, and I was so pale I looked like Severus Shape

Well girls we all like to channel our inner movie star but I shouldn't think Alan Rickman is the first name that springs to mind.
Hair colour has been bought along with new blusher.

constantly, i look like a particular film actress apparently, as she isn't particularly pretty it wasn't a compliment.
i don't take photo's well either, looking like Myra Hindley on a bad night out.

I yearn for my old hair colour...but I'm too old for it now. And though I call it grey, it's actually faded to a strawberry blonde. Not what I would have chosen. Others seem to like it...
And I wear makeup...but still look washed out.

an old lady looking at me
white hair and crows feet
thin lines round my mouth
and saggy old bosoms just pointing south .

I was more shocked with how pale I looked, I suppose during the best of the summer I was otherwise involved but my skin was always pinkish with rosy cheeks. I will book a re style next week. Sorry Dave, I have been letting the maintenance slide.

Nellie may. A bright coral scarf might let you wear black again. It's just having something to cast a glow back to your skin. If you are more a winter palette then a warm rose pink will do the same job.
