how does this deal leave ROI and NI?
Gove is a slippery character not to be trusted.

A no deal is much better than this capitulation Treason May has produced.

"A no-deal exit will mean having to renegotiate a huge number of trade deals with other countries."

Eventually yes, but no one needs to rush out doing "deals". Business will continue regardless of what Governments do.
YMB, //Gove is a slippery character not to be trusted. //

I agree. What a duplicitous little weasel he is.
Watch him jump ship when Traitor May is ousted, either by the Tories or COB.
"If you voted leave you can't moan at all, or complain, or winge. You've got what you ask'd for it's that simple."

Well spathi, I've read about 30% of the 568 pages over the last day and I can tell you that the document does not provide for the UK to Leave the EU in anything other than name. It simply provides slightly different circumstances under which we remain. When you've read a bit of it come back and tell us what you think. I've got a few jobs to do now so will be back later.
no one answered my question, which seems to be integral to this bad deal.
I think the answer Emmie is "At logger heads". Nothing is resolved about this so called problem with Treasons debacle of an agreement.
I feel like a child in a divorce settlement. Betrayed, disillusioned and apprehensive of what the future holds.
"Michael Gove, do you have confidence in the Prime Minister?"

If May's deal goes through will she get her thirty pieces of silver from the EU?
I did wonder how bad a deal had to be for the remainers to accept a no deal.

We obviously haven’t reached rock bottom yet.

We will soon though because there is still negotiating to do and as we know. May gives in so we will see even more disappear. Maybe then.....
Goes without saying Danny, could even get the next Presidency.
"We obviously haven’t reached rock bottom yet. "

No, but there is time as Treason has stated this is a starting point, so expect even more capitulation. Wouldn't surprise me if she signed us up to the Euro.

We need to sharpen the pitch forks to topple the dictator or perhaps a real coup might be needed.
I am just a bit surprised that, even though many in her own party have advised against it, she still ploughs on determined to get it accepted.
I’m surprised as well.

When she said she was, and was described as, that bloody woman, what did they mean? That bloody woman is a nightmare to work with she doesn’t listen, perhaps?

Why has she only got tough with us when she couldn’t with the EU?

Questions for May.

1. Why did you circumvent David Davis and allow Olly Robins to secretly negotiate the deal?
2. When do we get control of our borders back in UK only hands?
3. When do we start to make and keep only those laws made in UK parliaments and not laws imposed on us from an outside body?
4. When are we able to make free trade deals with anyone we chose for any goods or services we chose?
5. When do we stop taking determinations, arbitration and directions from the ECHR?
6. When can we determine who is allowed to settle in this country?

Not a full list of question of course but a start.
Back to AOG's:

"What's not to like?

1/ Ending free movement and introducing our new skills-based immigration system.
2/ Visa-free travel for tourism and temporary business activity, to ensure businesses can continue to provide services and move their talented people.
3/ A free trade area and deep cooperation on goods, with zero tariffs and quotas.
4/ The ability of the UK to strike trade deals around the world.
5/ The UK will be an independent coastal state, with commitments to ensure sustainable fishing levels and a new fisheries agreement with the EU.
6/ The UK will be outside the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy. "

These all come under the heading (in the Express summary):

"Outline Political Declaration on the future relationship between the EU...".

They are, therefore, not points agreed on and included in the transition period and its "temporary" extension, but are UK aspirations which will need to be negotiated with our European friends, and will depend to some degree on their good-will and, in particular, that of the "deal's" principal architect Mrs Merkel or her successor.
Maybe the answer to danny's question is that they don't actually have any of their own ideas. Brexiteers know what they don't want, but not what they *do* want -- nor how to achieve it.

"By the way, to state the blatantly obvious, May's plan isn't leaving, it's getting the UK more embroiled."

This.
No deal, bad deal good deal, sick to death with all this stupidity. I shall probably die and the whole mess will still be going on, totally lost interest in the whole shambles.
