They undoubtedly have an average life expectancy of 15 or less.
Goodness knows what savagery they inflict on *each other. They certainly have scant regard for human life.
* That'd be the women and children of course. (sadly, the way of the world)
Still, if it gives some of you a warm glow to conduct these experiments, who am I to argue.
There is no evidence that the Sentinelese are cannibalistic.
Reminds me of when I came across a 'tribe' of isolationists on one of my missions

They were called the Paxons
'Man goes to island where inhabitants shoot arrows at anyone who goes to their island and gets shot with arrows' shocker.

Sounds like a Darwin award candidate to me.
arksided---- two fishermen were washed up onto the island in 2006. They weren't eaten but butchered and thrown into shallow graves. As for the young 27 years old missionary who foolishly ignored all the warnings. He didn't deserve to die . I wonder where we would be with regards to Africa if Livingstone hadn't ventured to explore. .
ummmm

I think that most could describe them as that.

They are certainly uncivilised and must be quite savage to murder someone in such a fashion.

How politically correct would you describe them?
Seems they have boats, wonder how long it will be before they sail to the mainland and go on a killing spree.
SparklyKid

They may even venture here, so as to seek a better life, you understand?
I agree sparkly kid. They should be rounded up and put in some sort of reservation then normal people can go to the island, maybe have a few yurts or glamping pods on there. Sounds nice....
It's only because there's nothing interesting there that their 'right to be left alone' is being respected. If there was oil or gold on the island, they'd soon be bulldozed out of existence.
They clearly have a taste for blood. They might embark on a raiding party to bring in new genetics. Women for breeding etc.
I agree with it 100% why impose this stupid religous nonsense on others, that are managing quite well without it.
///They may even venture here, so as to seek a better life, you understand? ///

That's quite a robust crow-bar you have there, AOG.
No right on leftie liberals in their Governance.
'If we get visited by illegals, and this is what this God botherer was,we take them out to protect our well being and health from the diseases spread by so called civilised countries'
Bet there is no Aids,Polio and TB on that idyll unlike our Island who has seen a resurgence of these diseases when we thought they were eradicated years ago. I know who I believe has got it right
He'd being planning for years due to Gods calling... that is one massive fail.

I'm not one for making light of the dead... but what an idiot, by no way I'm suggesting he deserves what he got.... but really come on... leave 'em be.
///I know who I believe has got it right ///

And yet there are those on this thread who believe that just because *we* have to put up with all those things, then the Sentinelese should jolly well have to put up with them, too.

Pathetic, isn't it?
mamylynne // There is no evidence that the Sentinelese are cannibalistic.//

"Marco Polo called them "a most violent and cruel generation who seem to eat everybody they catch." In other words, during the hundreds of years in which the rest of the world was invading and conquering each other like it was going out of style, these guys were so unfriendly that everyone decided to just give up, and leave them alone."

"Anyone trying to land on the islands today should write out his will first. A National Geographic team was forced to turn back after the lead team member got an arrow through his thigh, and two local guides were killed. The Sentinelese also have a reputation for being able to survive natural disasters—unlike many of the modern people who live in similar environments. For instance, these coast-dwelling people successfully escaped the effects of the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, which wreaked havoc in Sri Lanka and Indonesia. "
Different references obviously give different details, who knows which is right.

It's sad re the young man but I am angry at those who led him there - presumably for a price.
Poor young man did not deserve to die.

'Good news to my mind' Absolutely disgusting ...
Mamya "It's sad re the young man but I am angry at those who led him there - presumably for a price."

So that would be god? and he paid the price of ignorance and stupidity, I struggle to sympathise with people like that to be honest!
