That just leaves a minimal amount of transactions needed to pay telephones/rent etc although if you pay this via your own account you can by-pass the charges.
It can be kept low. I know as I have done it and like I say the NAtionwide Business account allows for a certain number of free transactons.

>>> So all the vending machines will become redundant?
The vending machines at Ipswich Station all take cards. They're no different really to car park machines (which are simply 'vending' a ticket). Most car parks now accept cards. All those I know of in Ipswich do but I'm still forced to use cash in Stowmarket.
Similarly self-service petrol pumps are nothing more than 'vending machines'. They've been around for years and some filling stations (e.g. the one at Asda in Bury St Edmunds) now don't even have a cash desk at all.
