This seems to be a highly important step in future UK - EU relations, but I haven't seen it reported, could it be contrary to 'project fear' and the remain agenda?

I've a feeling you'd have to ask the outlets who haven't leapt on it yet why they haven't reported it.

It's most extraordinary imo.
That’ll be why the government has chosen not to put it on their website then ;-)
It simply doesn't fit the agenda of the MSM.
As already said, it doesn’t fit in with project fear.
Does this not go some way to alleviate the DUP's concerns wih the border ?
Only the DUP could answer that Donny.
I'm not sure the intention of this thread is actually to discuss the CTC Donny - more a comment on it not being reported where the OP would like it to have been.
Yes and no doubt the UK will remain in the aviation convention and the medicines convention as well as quite a few others. These matters are not to do with EU membership as such but are simply common sense arrangements so that neighbouring countries can do business with each other unencumbered by needless red tape. It is only the "worst case scenarios" promulgated by Project Fear that see planes grounded, people dying through lack of medication and lorries parked from Dover to Sevenoaks along the M20/M26.
That's what do shocking, common sense agreements.

NJ ; It seems the 'threat' of grounded planes stated by much of the media is also a huge exaggeration with many contingency plans already in place;

Very welcome news, will relieve some of the stress on our parts. Even better news for Ireland.

It's not a magic bullet, though, and if I've understood this correctly there will still be barriers for goods that have the UK as their final destination (like, for example, about 30% of the food this country consumes). That's still going to cause major disruption, even if it's somewhat mitigated by excluding transit goods.

So in terms of coverage, it's not getting reported because it doesn't seem to be all that significant.
On our ports!

Goodness, my typos have been getting a bit saucy lately.
It may or may not be insignificant but it shows project fear up for what it is.

Hype up what may happen to way beyond the most realistic outcome to frighten people. The definition of project fear.
I hope those with contacts can get this on the media asap.
Be great to see this on the news and newsnight

To be fair, it was only published yesterday. But well done for finding it (and to Mamya for the official link).
The problem with describing anything negative as "project fear" is twofold. Firstly, it's just a different type of agenda -- Project Complacency, you might call it; and, second, it essentially allows people to sell anything short of a genuine crash or recession as somehow successful.

Don't pretend you're somehow exposing mainstream conspiracies, or that you are paragons of impartiality, by highlighting this. It's just a different type of lie.
"...and if I've understood this correctly there will still be barriers for goods that have the UK as their final destination (like, for example, about 30% of the food this country consumes)."

Not from what I've read there won't.
