“Jeremy Corbyn has defiantly restated Labour’s policy of leading Britain out of the European Union…” Where’s the headline then? Mr Corbyn’s Party supported the granting of a referendum, most of his MP’s voted to trigger A50 and his party secured their seats at the last General Election on a manifesto that committed the Party to take the UK...

//The people who make the EU's laws in Brussels are not unelected bureaucrats; they are elected politicians, accountable to the people who elected them//
Inorrect: the body which decides EU policy and proposes all legislation (in secret conclave) is the unelected Commission whose members forswears national loyalty in favour of "commitment" to the EU . I doubt that anybody on this thread knows who the UK's last two commissioners were.
The parliament has power to reject legislation or suggest amendment.

//there should’ve been a clause that we could only leave or stay when 60% of the country voted one way or another. //
the question on the referendum bill (and the bill itself) did not include such a clause, but was nevertheless passed by parliament with a majority of 6 to 1. further, the bill to enact A50 was passed with a parliamentary majority of 5 to 1. in terms of what would have been a good idea to include in the referendum, what does that say about the current crop of MPs. do you really believe they'd do any better if they were given a 2nd crack at it? really?

What a great argument for staying, you have got me convinced we should stay...you should consider a career in politics.
I take it there are no remainers who think that the EU needs to reform?
