Why Blur The Faces?
This hit and run video of the incident in Tescos that seriously injured a woman and did a great deal of damage is on the BBC website

They have ground the car but not the people.
WHY have they blurred the faces of the driver and passengers?
Surely if we or more to the point people from the area, can identify them they will be caught sooner.

One could be that the issue of identification may be one the police have to prove. If they have a witness who saw the incident and the police ask that witness to identify the miscreant, the fairness of that process may be jeopardised if the witness has seen a photograph in the press that suggests that the person in the photo was the one who committed the crime.
