Norfolk Police said officers were called to the Sandringham Estate shortly before 3pm "following reports of a collision involving two cars".
Having seen more details the accident was about a mile south from where I thought it was, at the Babingley crossroads. The road to the east is definitely a public road (leading to the village of West Newton). The road to the west is a dead end but I would not describe it as a "drive". I'm not really sure what's up there or why the Duke would be going there (if indeed he was).
//What a polonka bless him

Really Spath?
He has contributed more than you,I wager ,apart from cutting or trimming some old ladies bush. I doubt you do much of that either considering,as a young man, you spend most of your day on AB.
Some of us have worked hard all our life. Try it some time.
Ever heard of the D of E's award scheme? He gave thousands of youngsters a kickstart in life and allowed them to develop their true potential rather than spend their day on sites such as this just waiting for Friday to get 'wrekko'

//I suspect that Prince Philip enjoys driving and would resent being driven about by some lackey. He should, however, not venture out on to public roads.//
You are quite correct. He drove regularly the first electric vehicle I have ever seen in the late 80's, a small minibus, out of Buckingham Palace to local London engagements. No chauffeur for him.
