Stand by your beds... Gulliver is awake. Not much to say obviously but awake non the less.
Why does everyone give Gulliver a hard time bless him
Cassa. Has your post any relevance to this thread?
Doh peeked too soon.

I tend to think the older a driver gets the less able thy get.

In as much as reflexes get slower, eyes become worse and strength weakens.

If you add these together they end up for the most part being really slow and hesitant. Which makes other driver very frustrated at them. Accidents involving older and much older driver seem to tend to be because either other driver frustration or their own hesitation.

Does that mean they should lose their license? Yes if they can’t pass a yeast to show they are still competent.
We're forgetting the laws that apply to us, don't apply to the royals. They need no license.
Time to hang up his driving gloves.
spath, as far as I'm aware all the Royals, except the Queen, need a driving licence.
he should stick to raking in those flight hours. over 5000 he has i think.
Naomi you're right, check this:

"Prince Philip has a driving license, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

A spokeswoman from the Palace told Express.co.uk: “Prince Philip has followed all the usual DVLA practices.”"
It was supposed to be at the top of my actual post but I pressed the button too soon.

But Gulliver tends to post irrelevancies and childishness. A bit like a misinformed or should that be uninformed six year old.
I bet he is livid his crash has caused a mass debate over old people driving. However people get their kicks...
I'd guess he'll be pretty shook up and probably won't want to drive on the roads again. He can still drive round their estates.
I like gullivers contributions. Maybe we're just like minded ;)
You're not quite that bad, Splat.
Savageee
ya do make me chuckle, brother
That's a very fast road but to overturn a Range Rover with a Kia saloon the Kia was going at some lick.
I was out driving at exactly the same time as this accident occurred and was absolutely blinded by the sun for a couple of seconds at one point and had to slam my brakes on. It came suddenly through a gap in the trees by the side of the road. I had the visor down and put my hand up but I couldn't see a thing the sun was so strong. Frightening.
They are saying that the speed limit on the road is to be reduced.

All fine and dandy but how many accidents have there been on that stretch of road? Why now? Is it just because HRH has had a nasty prang or has the speed change been in the pipeline for a while?
Cassa // has the speed change been in the pipeline for a while?//
Yes, according to a council spokesperson.
