Douglas, //Your Churchillian oratory leaves us wanting more, Triple Tiger.

Now get on with the business of defending to the death his right to say it.//

I’ll defend to the death his right to say it – but I’ll also defend to the death my right to say that like many people filled with nothing but hot air emanating from an over-inflated ego, he’s an ignoramus. Without Churchill … for the astute, no need to go on. For the rest ....no point.
I think the term 'ginger' turd might be gratuitously offensive but I couldn't help laughing.
I stund corrected.
Did this twit not know about the holocaust?
Douglas, I wasn’t correcting you – simply giving my thoughts on defending his freedom to speak as he sees fit – a freedom that, without people like Churchill, it’s doubtful he’d be enjoying today.
Still there for me.
Wrong thread.
Ingwerhirse (probably wrong spelling)

Oh, hang on we won.....
// America didn't win the war, you buffoon.//

The Amercians won the last battle - battler berlin and the America and Russia divided up Europe - betrayal of Yalta again
France as a world power was excluded from the last conference ( ha you didnt notice that didja!) and Britain soon followed
whilst pouring money under lend lease back into America

funny kinda 'England won the war' but that is only me ....

The only shock in all of this: is that Trump comes along and says in his first speech in Poland - he was gonna liberate Europe - and then leave it - and let the Russians march in
unbelievable
and even more unbelievable is his insistence that he hadnt pre-agreed it with Putin

erm just saying
// Did this twit not know about the holocaust?//

yeah
the second world war was NOT about the holocaust
oh read and learn Water boaty!
Chamberlain said in 1939 - "and we asked in a note that the germans immediately leave Poland - they have not replied and so consequently we are in a state of war with germany"

and NOT : "the Germans are gassing jews and incinerating their bodies. We have asked them to stop and they have not replied and so consequently we are in a state of war with germany"
if you are unsure about the truth of this re-read your ladybird book of the second world war

thank you
What is so comical about this post, is that Churchill was all for a ,
United Europe, wonder what he would think of Brexit.
Gulliver, a united Europe is not the same as a United states of Europe.
Gulliver, //Churchill was all for a United Europe//

Indeed .... minus us.

//We help, we dedicate, we play a part, but we are not merged with and do not forfeit our insular or Commonwealth character…. It is only when plans for uniting Europe take a federal form that we ourselves cannot take part, because we cannot subordinate ourselves or the control of British policy to federal authorities.//

https://www.spectator.co.uk/2018/02/churchill-was-all-in-favour-of-a-united-europe-as-long-as-it-didnt-include-britain/
Do more research, gulliver.
"United we stand Divided We Fall" , even Churchill realised that.
PP
//as Colonial Secretary - police bombing of Iraq in 1922 -
Hmm - you just fly over them in Gotha bombers and bomb the hell out of those pesky natives .... //

Who was bombing the pesky natives.........the Germans??
Gotha bombers were operated by the German Air Service during WW1
By 1922 they should not possess any military aircraft. The newly formed Royal Air Force (1918) would be flying De Haviland or Vickers Vimys at about the period you write. Just saying for sake of clarity.
Gulliver. from Naomi's link.
// we cannot subordinate ourselves or the control of British policy to federal authorities.//
Gulliver's mind is in a permanent state of 'whoosh'.
Just what he said to Bessie Braddock, Naomi.
Right ..... :o/

Moving on...
