Ellipsis: "Jackson was never found guilty of child abuse and unfortunately his guilt or otherwise can't be tested after his death. Therefire conclusions of his guilt can only be based on hearsay. When the alleged victim stands to make a lot of money out of being seen as a victim, the waters are especially muddy."
Point taken, but allegations can be tested without the accused being present, or without them choosing to give evidence. I am sure there will be legally trained people here able to confirm whether or not that is possible? The London speedboat accused wasn't present but was still found guilty.
I suspect that few people are tried after they have died because it is not in the public interest, rather than because it is not possible.
