I am saying nothing at this stage - I think the report, and the result of the case, says it all.

'Constable Hughes, you've arrested this man 13 times in the last 2 weeks, for nothing'

'But it's a good collar today, sir'

'Sitting in a pub smelling of alcohol wasn't on the statute book last time I looked at it'.
For reasons unknown - but consider that maybe the licensee called them because a group of fans were getting a bit loud, and he wanted them spoken to and asked to quieten down

Didn't happen.

Talbot - // If you think TR wasn't targetted simply because he is TR you are either willfully ignoring the truth or you are thick. //

My view, which I have explained at length, is that 'Tommy Robinson' was not 'targeted' at all!

It suits his adopted persona as a 'persecuted man of truth and conviction' (well he is right about the conviction bit!) - to see himself as being 'targeted', but the report, viewed dispassionately, does not indicate anything of the kind.

We know that 'Tommy' has a perverse and utterly unfounded view of himself as someone who matters in this society, let's not add to it, shall we?
AH, but he was singled out because he’s famous. What’s fair about that?

You, as a supporter of 'Tommy Robinson, choose so to do, I as a non-supporter, do not.

I'm a supporter of truth no matter how unpalatable that truth is, you're not.

I haven't suggested that it is - do you have a point based on something I actually have said?

Naomi - // AH, but he was singled out because he’s famous. What’s fair about that? //

If that was the case, it wouldn't be fair, just two small problems with that scenario - he wasn't targeted, and he isn't famous!!!
I agree with talbot at 18.06.

I think I am, which is why I would take the words of a serving police officer, and a judge, over the word of an egotistical football hooligan any day.
The head of security for the pubs in which TR had been drinking said that he and his group had not caused any trouble.

Then I would ask you as well - how do you know that?
TR was with his wife & kids and one other FAMILY - not jack the lads! He wasnt drunk as confirmed by landlady. He had a useless solicitor who didn't present the facts.
Oh come on, AH. The story reads like an Ealing comedy sketch.
Once again: Flailing around all over the place like a demented octopus.

No-one is suggesting that they were - it is what happened when the police entered the pub that led to the eviction from the pub, and the 'targeted for being famous' nonsense.
18:08 so do I naomi ..

Zacs - // Oh come on, AH. The story reads like an Ealing comedy sketch. //

You'd have to blame' Tommy' for that - he's the one with the persecution complex!!
AH at 18.09, I read your posts.

All my points have been reasonable, and based on the report we can all read - no 'flailing' on my part I assure you.
