I am saying nothing at this stage - I think the report, and the result of the case, says it all.

You are being somewhat selective with your perception of the events here Talbot.
The officer appeared to have decided that the group of drinkers with whom 'Robinson' was standing were a risk - now that may ne right or wrong, we don't know, we weren't there.
What is not disputed though, is that 'Robinson' started questioning the officer and filming him on his mobile phone, and that cannot be seen as anything other than being obnoxious, and grandstanding for a group of men who have been cited as potential troublemakers.
What is also not disputed is that 'Robinson' was asked to leave the pub and he refused, which again is contrary to decent mature behaviour in a public place.
// The pub security tell the police ''this bloke has done nothing wrong'' but the police carry on with their mission of ejecting a random bloke who has committed no offence. //
There is no evidence in the link that the pub security team were present, or that they offered the officer the benefit of their opinion - I would suggest that he would have ignored them anyway, were they arrogant enough to intervene in a police matter, which I seriously doubt.
The officer did not eject a 'random bloke who had committed no offence' - he ejected a mouthy football fan who was filming him, and who had refused a request to leave.

It is very common practise unfortunately these days to whip out your mobile to film a confrontation with police. I can c&p loads of links of confrontations particularly when the 'alleged' protagonist has an altercation with a police officer. The reason being, normally,to highlite excessive force or overbearing conduct and misuse of power. Why should TR not,in your eyes be allowed to do the same? If TR was a leary unruly drunken yob where is the police body cam footage to show such conduct? Not many years back their was a lobby to prevent photographs of police officers et al being taken without their knowledge. It failed to fly. As long as the Police Sergeant was acting correctly he should have no problem with his actions being recorded.

If you were in this situation, an officer alone with a group of football supporters, and you were speaking to one of them, and he commenced 'interviewing' you with his phone, would you simply carry on, or would you perhaps see a situation developing where the situation was going to start to get out of hand.
I am not a police officer, but if I was, and in that situation, I would have acted as the officer did, and asked the main protagonist to leave the pub in order to defuse the situation, and if he refused, I would have ejected him.

Talbot - // andy-hughes // The officer appeared to have decided that the group of drinkers with whom 'Robinson' was standing were a risk - now that may ne right or wrong, we don't know, we weren't there. So how come he wanted Robinson to leave and not the other drinkers?
At 20:51, it was -
''I would like to report 3 men and 7 kids''
for what...what have they done?
''nothing''
Now it's ' a group of drinkers ...' - you really must be consistent if you are going to argue from a position of strength.
If we are agreed that it was 'a group of drinkers' and not 'three men and sevcen kids ...' - then it is reasonable to assume, given 'Tommy Robinson's proven complete inability not to take a potential situation for grandstanding and ignore it - it would be him giving the officer grief in a loud voice, and playing to the gallery with his mobile phone, so if you remove the loudmouth, the rest will probably calm down.

More likely to escalate the situation if you eject someone just for filming you in a pub. Do you honestly believe the PS entered the pub on his own , when the so called intel he stated he was given that there were a crowd of Luton away supporters drinking beer. No. You really know nothing about policing and neither does the PS if he entered an allegedly potential public order situation on his own. He not only knew why he was sent to the pub and I believe his intel told him exactly who he would meet there.
I believe I was taught that ' tact and good humour will normally defuse a hostile situation and if all else fails an arrest should be made' or words to that effect.
I believe that this was a politically motivated exercise carried out by a police force that now does not act independently or impartially.

You are not alone in thinking that...……..The "judge" knew it too. But that is a story for another day...……..Unless you know anyone who is wired and ready for a "debate"?

//Wow, I bet your ex-colleagues really appreciate that support!//
Well seeing as you implied on an earlier OP I was a corrupt and racist cop I can tell you I take a fair, impartial unbigoted view. That was the way the Police operated in my day.
As soon as I see a TR OP from you I can expect irrational foam specked spittle as you vent your spleen. Your bias shows no bounds and your opinions lose credibility.
You would swear on the bible that TR was an accomplice in the Bonfire Plot!

As you know the square root of F.A. ( Fanny Adams) about policing and policy both in the past and present I can enlighten you that my ex-colleagues with whom I keep in touch are both saddened and ashamed how policing has become the political puppets of their masters and most impartiality, common sense and individual discretion has now been sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. Another experiment that has failed the police and public by the liberal elite.
If you and your pals are concerned about giving TR oxygen then it would of been a far smarter course of action to stand back and see what might or might not pan out in the Licensed Premises.
This action has given TR more oxygen and publicity. If this is a victory for so called justice then it is a Phyrric victory as a crowd funding would raise 3x£20,000 in a day or two.

/// It would appear from the officer's evidence that 'Tommy', as usual, lost no opportunity to turn a conversation with a police officer into a 'news report' for his website, and I think we can reasonably assume that stance 'Tommy' would be taking once his camera phone was out of his pocket - and recording. ///
Oh so it is okay for the police to record incidents, for evidence but not the public.
This whole shambles is a disgrace, while there are daily stabbings on our streets and the police are short of officers, they still have time to enter pubs on match days and search and arrest anyone who is allegedly shouting their mouths off, there must be hundreds of arrests each and every match day, or was this just a one off just because it was specifically targeted at Tommy Robinson, even though they didn't know who he was? lol.

/// You have your opinion on the 'fame' of 'Tommy Robinson' and she has hers - the fact that hers differs from yours does not really deserve your insulting her for acting as she sees fit in her remit as a court judge. ///
Perhaps one could say similar to your later post?
/// - just what he is - a football yob with a big mouth and an over-inlfated sense of his own importance. ///
You have your opinion of Tommy Robinson, and others have theirs- the fact that yours differs from others does not really deserve you insulting him.
And you using a report from the Daily Mail the newspaper that you criticise so much, goes to prove what an hypocrite you really are.

/// You'd have to blame' Tommy' for that - he's the one with the persecution complex!! ///
And he has every reason to have a persecution complex, just the same as those black people do, who are forever complaining about being stopped and searched.
Recognised as a 80's football hooligan???? Tommy wasn't born until 1982.
