I agree with the knife crime to a degree, the only thing against though is that if not told the public will not press the Government to actually act.

because I think the knife men see the police and think - oh oops I will have to go where there are no police, in order to stab someone
the other things is: unless you can show that second stabbings occur near and soon after an initial stabbing
saturating the area with police armed to the teeth is a waste of tax payers' money
oh but apparently it reassures the public - I mean as a tax payer are you really that gullible ?

Controversial but I wonder if we stopped reporting these incidents would it help.
I’m not suggesting that that is feasible or even desirable from other points of view but I’m not sure there isn’t an element of “copycat” about these.

And not reporting crimes worked so well in Rotherham, Rochdale, Telford, Oxford ....etc
