OK, I am going to be the annoying bridezilla for the next 2.5 months.

I have 2 young ladies who have agreed to assist me on the day. Aged 7 and 10.

I would like to buy them something to remember. They had lockets with their names on at their parents' wedding. I'm not doing religious (neither do they). Best I could come up with is a string of pearls. Any ideas?

I would like it to be something they can keep as they grow up. Neither have pierced ears so earrings wont work!

A puppy would be perfect, one each.
Bracelet?
A bit young maybe but what about a Pandora bracelet and a charm or two to start them off?

They've got 3 dogs, Wolf. And 2 cats. And various other animals (about 16 sheep, a couple of ghekos, a hamster blah blah).

Zebo and Prudie - I am liking the Pandora bracelet idea.
how much do you want to spend?

Not too worried about cost, Bednobs. I'm not made of money but equally I dont want cheap!
Get their names in the alaphabet 10p’s and have them framed properly - I did a half arsed jobs on my kids’ names at Christmas and they were all touched by the thought.
I really like the idea of pearls.

I do Woofgang. I mean nice ones too. Something that when they are older they can appreciate. I love the pearls I have, they are timeless classics. But not entirely sure they will appreciate them at their age. I just dont know!
I agree pearls are timeless. However I inherited my mother's 3 string choker and have only worn them once (at my own last wedding). Do people really get the chance to wear pearls these days?
I think bracelets would be more suitable.
I have to admit to never understanding the appeal of pearls.
I think the charm (Pandora or others)bracelet may appeal to them...particularly if you add them on special occasions like Christmas or birthdays.
I would go with charm bracelets too, with a weddingy charm to start. At least, if you are ruling out the puppies :-)
I wear my pearls when I feel like it...with jeans and a tee shirt as well as when dressed up. Maybe it might be a good idea to give them a "for now" gift..something they would like to have now but not necessarily durable....and a classic keepsake that they will appreciate when they are older?
My eldest daughter had small heart-shaped silver plated jewellery boxes for her bridesmaids, with their names, and the wedding date and the bride and groom's names engraved - they were appreciated.

I've organised a "for now" surprise, Woofgang, which they will LOVE!!!! I'm torn now between a Pandora bracelet or pearls.
I love the Pandora charms, pearls I like now but at their age I am not sure that I would have appreciated them.

What about getting someone to do a sketch of each of them.
I too love the sound of Pandora bracelets. Also the jewellery boxes sound good too.
I'd save the pearls for either 18th or 21st, charm bracelets which can be added to, either by you, their parents or even themselves sounds a great idea.

Is your dress sorted?
When I was a bridesmaid I received a silver bracelet, to which over the years my parents added charms. I still have the bracelet (although I suspect it will no longer fit my wrist), and my auntie and uncle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary a couple of weeks ago.
Swarovski also do some lovely things, both jewellery and keepsakes.
