Leaving aside the rarer medical reasons for non vaccination for a moment - the anti-vaxxers are doing a ot of damage with their dcare mongering an of course with the internet it has spread far beyond the USA. This young man is claiming his religion is against it whilst the Church in fact isn't. Elsewhere the resurgence of the link to autism (unproven) of certain...
I think mine had diphtheria, tetanus, polio and whooping cough as babies. MEASLES, mumps, rubella at about 13 months and hib (meningitis) at 18 months plus a preschool lot.
All childhood infectious diseases, as far as I can remember, have an incubation period when the child is not ill but can pass the illness on to others. An immunosuppressed person or pregnant mother can contract the illness during the incubation period. I do know when I was working in NYC all children were banned from visiting patients because of a Rubella outbreak

true mamny, true, but i feel the only topic immigrants can bring to the discussion is that of global health system where countries agree on certain vaccinations that are to be "global standards"
Apart from that the political aspect of immigration is moot to vaccination
None of my siblings had the whooping cough and some other vaccines, so no I am not one in a million.
Also as previously said you are very dismissive to allergic reactions until you have a severe one and nearly lose your life perhaps you should not be.
I've never been stung by a bee or wasp, so maybe one day i shall discover the severity. However, that doesn't not take away from the fact that if vaccination decline disease increases. A host can help a disease evolve potentially to the point of being stronger than vaccinations.
