Yes he has, and no-one is all bad, but the premise of The Jeremy Kyle show is to allow people to air their dirty laundry in public to the delight of a load of Gallows Knitters who cheer JK on as he humiliates them, it's the show we are talking about not Jeremy Kyle himself who can scarcely be blamed for continuing the show since it's such a source of income for him ~( although personally I'd rather eat my own knees than earn a living like that).
//Jeremy has help people find their long lost relatives and some special shows about kids that have various medical conditions giving them loads of gifts.//
It's all in the service of his ego, though. It's not really about helping those people - it's just another (albeit less destructive) means of exploiting the vulnerable to big himself up. If the show consisted purely of Kyle being generous and kind I doubt it would have lasted very long.
It's been on air for 14 years though and something will unfortunately just replace it down the line (Kyle himself is just a more mean-spirited clone of Jerry Springer). I'm glad they took it off air, though.

The danger with a lie detector test lies in whether or not the person believes that what he or saying is true, not whether it is in fact true or not.
As an example - if you find someone who believes that the earth is flat, and put them on a polygraph and ask them if they believe the earth is flat, they will say that it is, and pass the test.
That is because the individaul believes what they say to be the truth, but the answer can still be factually inaccurate.
That is why polygraph evidence is not admissable in a court of law - it is possible to lie to a lie detector.

I can't this type of cheap programme and can't stand Kyle too. BUT, many people do. ITV runs on adverts which tie back to viewers, no viewers mans no ads means no show. In addition are any of these 'contestants/participants' forced on there or do they voluntarily go on there? If no one is forcing them then people need to accept their own responsibility.
So, IMHO, it is not my place to prevent such rubbish being put on the TV, nor is it my place to dictate who should take part. All I would say is that the TV Company should make every effort to ensure no unstable people are on it, but nothing is ever going to be fool proof.
