Yes, you are correct, vandalism isn't new, but in my lifetime i have never seen such targeted spite and mindlessness. Mods and Rockers of the 60's and 70's at least confined the violence to each other.......but this.....this....Model train exhibition........this is new and can't be swept under the carpet.

Thick, mindless scum dragged up not brought up by their equally thick parents. Some yobs near to where I live have recently destroyed some flood defences protecting not only a care home, but a large housing estate. They don't care, they simply don't care. Good on Rod Stewart for donating some money to help replace the model railway.
It's been reported that the kids responsible have been identified and they were drunk, and now horrified at what they've done. Not least because their parents -- to whom I think hereIam might owe at least some sort of apology -- have had them grounded, forced them to write apology letters, and will insist that they take part in fundraising to cover the necessary repair.
Hopefully this is the last time those yobs do something like this. It's too late now to repair the damage, only compensate for it, but perhaps they will have learned the very hard way how utterly stupid and reckless they have been.
