I think obviously since they've been caught they'll be making all the right noises, who wouldn't be? Are they truly contrite? Perhaps, perhaps not. What should be done with them, who knows? Certainly the parents are on the right track initially in making them write an apology, making them fund raise and grounding them til eternity, but I'd go considerably further and make them personally apologies to the people they so cruelly targeted. I'd make them look those people in the eye and face up to the enormity of what they have done. I doubt they were so wrecked, all of them, that not one of them had an inkling that what they were doing is wrong, so my guess, and it is a guess, that they probably don't care deep down that much and are just inadequate, naturally spiteful morons. I don't think you can necessarily assume they've been dragged up or that their parents don't care, plenty of thoroughly nasty hoorays about c capable of similar with perfectly decent parents. Sometimes things go wrong and your kid turns out to be a jerk and I doubt they'll ever live it down.
