11.41 Mushroom, " the electorate don't get to choose the Party Leader".
The Cons themselves , their very own MPs are going to choose the new party leader, and everyone expects that to be Johnson , then come the next G/E which the Cons expect to win, but they are terrified of ,and will hang on to the last dying second, but if they do pull it off, then Hey Presto Boris will be PM. So if this happens [ God Forbid ] then johnson will have been voted in by the people

Not sure Bojo will get through to the final round, too many ready to stab him.
Of course if he doesnt then I suspect it will be the end of the Tory Party since it seems the Tory grass roots (not me I hasten to add) want him as leader.
It certianly would not surrise me for two Remoaners to be in the final two. Again, curtains for the Tories forever but they just dont seem to care. I guess too many are on handouts for their 'farms' from the EU.

//Love the moment where, right at the end of the speech, her voice breaks as she realises she may have to visit the Job Centre on 10 June and have to wait 5 weeks for Universal Credit:-) //
she'll be waiting a lot longer than that Ken - it's means tested and given the net worth of her partner, she won't qualify.

I think Rory Stewart would be a breath of fresh air. For a start, anyone who says they'd immediately get rid of hospital car parking charges gets my vote. He seems like a good bloke:

There may, somehow, not be an election until 2022 but that assumes many things, one of which is that there will be no further defections from the Conservative party on the back of whatever happens during the leadership stuff. Or that somehow any who might defect decide to back the govt in any future no confidence vote
