He lost his deposit

// the most eye-catching story in North West England was the humiliating drubbing suffered by the anti-Islam activist Tommy Robinson.
In the end, Robinson won only 2.2% of the vote – losing his £5,000 deposit – and snuck out of the election count in central Manchester barely an hour after he arrived. //

But other than that, he's a smashing bloke. He comes round every Sunday morning to nail my head to the floor. But he has to do it. It's all to do with respect, see, and I don't blame him one bit. But he's very fair. One Sunday he came round as usual and I told him my Mum was ill. Do you know what? He didn't nail my head to the floor that week. He let me off. He just slammed the door on my hand instead - my left hand, mind you, not my right. Smashing bloke. Won't hear a word said. :-)
Lol NJ :-)
We need a bit of humour ...

/// Any hope of returning to topic? ///

Are you addressing that to the two main instigators Mam?

/// Get real AOG and how can you say you are proud to be English given how you slate the Royal Family. Your no patriot just a TR wannabe! ///

/// You do slate the Royals you spent most of yesterday doing it.
Never had you down as a fibber AOG! ///

/// SR, so what you are saying is that everybody must agree with the views of AOG, or yourself for that matter. That is not how AnswerBank works. ///

Not one mention of Tommy Robinson, or his election defeat, just more attacks on myself.
Twas but a plea, wee flag to bring the thread on topic and all I could manage to type at the moment.

I refer you to your post at 10.26 as to who started this.

Goodness, all this hatred against one of the few people who vocally stand up for British values. ///

This was my valid answer to SparklyKid's post:

Totally agree with you SparklyKid, but then there are some who don't seem to be bothered what this country is heading for.

Can't see how I started it all, since I didn't attack or name any ABers.
No, in your usual cowardly way, you failed to make any specific reference.

I rest my case.

Not cowardly as you accused me of in your usual rude and insulting way.

Just saving on the typing, because there are so many to name.
Of course you were. Of course you were.
This thread is now completely off-topic, having become a slanging match and should be closed.
30,000 votes for a first time standing Independent ain't bad in my book.
Anybody on here done better?
Not good enough to get his £5,000 back.
£5,000. Peanuts to good old TR.
It all must be very confusing for you, Spicerack. As Douglas Adams wrote in a different context, "The secret is to keep banging the rocks together."
'Tommy Robinson' has never been anything close to being a politician - so it's no surprise that people refuse to entertain the notion of him joining an organisation for which his ignorance, bigotry and one-track mind make him clearly unsuitable

// does AOG and like minded people make you proud? //

TR is one of the few people who is prepared to stand up in public and declare his dislike of uncontrolled immigration into the UK, his dislike of the increase in Islamisation into the UK. You don't need to be a Racist to that, just stand back, take a good honest look at what is going on, and make an honest, to yourself, choice.
You can not like it all you like, everyone is entitled to an opinion as long as it's not to purposely stir up hate, but Tommy Robinson is a catastrophe of a man; hate driven, cynical, criminal and not very bright- in fact all the things that you would not want in any sort of representative- and thankfully the electorate identified that and voted accordingly.
"take a good honest look at what is going on, and make an honest, to yourself, choice."

Well, 5,231,478 chose not to support him in his views.
