not showing a serious or respectful attitude.

Y'know I never realised she was a Comedian, never got so much as a smile outta me.
Just in case people thought Joe Brand was any kind of political roll model, or any kind of roll model at all. Or model.

She is a comedian, she is paid, and bought on to panels to tell jokes.
In light of the current trend for throwing things to express disapproval - totally unfunny and totally unacceptable. Quite a chance now that some warped individual would try it - that's the problem.
I simply don't understand how anyone could find that funny.
I'm not surprised Farage has complained. Her 'humour' was 'aimed' at Brexiters.
Do we think if it was aimed at those throwing the milkshakes, Farage would have got invoked?
I have to say I quite like Jo Brand, but she's making the mistake here of forgetting that she's not just addressing her little leftie echo chamber where this kind of ironic hatred goes down a treat.

It happens a lot in social media and can get people into trouble.
Sorry, just to clarify, i meant to type - Involved.
"It happens a lot in social media and can get people into trouble."

I suspect this will get Joe into trouble.
Spath I know she's a bit chunky but not sure it's PC to describe her as a roll
PFTHAHAHAHAHAHHA :D Brilliant
I like her.... I agree the huge difference is that she is a comedian and was joking...
I would prefer people to make sick jokes, personally, than to keep quiet, but think it seriously. It's about intention.
I know it is a legal thing, but I also don't agree with "incitement" as a rule. It implies a sane rational adult will commit a crime because someone else suggests it. People (adults) are responsible for their own behaviour entirely, and should not be able to blame their actions on someone else.
Black humour not particularly funny but not designed to incite violence as claimed by Farage
Totally agree Pixie or we could blame everyone else for our action due to incitement. You could find incitement for anything if you looked for it.
Thanks, spath x
//It implies a sane rational adult will commit a crime because someone else suggests it. //

But dismissing it as harmless assumes that only sane, rational adults will hear it.
Agree with Baldric @ 16.36
It doesn't. Anyone can hear it, but their actions don't make it her fault.
Naomi - // Other comedians don't usually joke about throwing battery acid over people. //

True - some do far worse - remember Frankie Boyle's reference to Katie Price being attacked by her disabled son?

And more - not appropriate for this site.
