Yes. One of the problems with climate change is the continuous increasing population.

However, this should be done with contraception, and a social acceptance to people choosing not to have children for the sake of the species.

The real issue is families with 5+ kids.. i mean what are ya doin..

Again let me say that the 10.9 billion is a peak, and if the study is true then the hope would be that in 80s years' time, more or less, we'll have reduced population growth virtually to a standstill.

Yes of course it's going to be hard but as I say the study is literally saying that we can hope to achieve it by the end of the century.
Well, for a start twisted countries could legalise abortion and make it widely available. Not for a means of contraception, because it's not at all a form of contraception but for that last resort moment.
There may be the issue of breeding for overall supremacy to deal with.

It's not going to happen. Religions will not actively encourage their followers to adopt a less children approach. With most religions they want to be the biggest.
It's all part of the same problem. Global warming is caused by human activity. The more humans, the more activity, the fewer resources to go around.

Humans seem incapable of self-regulating, but at some point nature will.

aye with a big ol natural disaster probably wiping out our entire race.
It wouldn't be the first apocalyptic event.
This problem is a cause of Global Warming and ought not be an either/or choice.
