Rory Stewart.
After being eliminated last night, Mr Stewart said
“A no deal brexit would be catastrophic or that you can’t negotiate a new deal with Europe
probably were truths that people weren’t quite ready to hear.”

Are these the words of a sore loser?
He has also said that he wouldn’t serve in the cabinet under any of the remaining candidates.
Has he shot himself in the foot?

That is what everyone says, but I don't see it. Gove couldn't have done anything more to stop him becoming leader then, than he can now. It's an excuse.
I'll always remember BJ's sheepish expression with 'oh sh**, what have I done?' written all over it as he emerged from his house the morning after the leave vote.

Ludwig, the problem is that you rarely get more than one chance. Gove did stab him in the back, it was there for all to see. If Boris had carried on and failed then I doubt he would be in the position he is today.
He decided to bow out and live to fight another day. I dont blame him for doing that at all. Gove is the nasty backstabbing weasel here, Boris was the victim.

That is your interpretation and you have no idea if that is what he was thinking. Do you by any chance work for the left wing press, they are good at making out people say things they haven't?

That is very true. None of us can really know what anyone else is actually thinking can we, but it was certainly my impression.
Compare and contrast with Nigel Farage, who gave me the impression that he was clearly delighted with the result. Boris went into hiding for a few days.
